Baxi Combi Instant 105e - Faulty diverter valve motor
Hi guys My Baxi Combi Instant 105e boiler doesn't provide very hot water any more. The problem is at the diverter valve: it doesn't close properly and allow some of the water destined for the domestic hot water network into the central heating network.
Ideal Logic Combi 30 Leak on diverter valve head - www
My boiler lost pressure recently, when I topped it back up there was a slight leak out of the bottom. It didn't seem much but when I opened the front up there was a fair amount of water resting in the bottom. After drying it up I found the source of the leak and it appears to be leaking from the diverter valve head.

Jun 15, 2011 · Sorry to bring up an old thread, could anyone tell me if this leaking diaphragm could cause the combi boiler to stop working? My diverter valve is leaking from the same pin described in the original post, I think it has been leaking for a while as there are water marks where it has dripped down, the boiler will work occasionally but most of the
Ariston Diverter Valves also sometimes called 3 way valves or motorised valves are a device commonly fitted internally to Ariston Combi type boilers and allows water to be diverted between the central heating or hot water, these diverter valves are not always motorized and can use various methods for operating such as a wax capsule or hydraulic diaphragm.
I suspect a sticky diverter valve. (does anyone agree)? Is it possible to strip down the diverter valve to clean and re-use on my Worcester Bosch 240 RSF combi boiler? (the actual valve not the diaphragm) (new diaphragm recently fitted) cheers ALDA[/b]

Combi Boiler - no hot water. Anyone help? — Digital Spy
Combi boilers are a great concept but in reality I have found they are not so good. We built a house about 8 years ago and have since had to replace our combi boiler. Both boilers have cost us a fortune on repairs & parts. I don't know if we have just been unlucky but we changed the make and our plumber and still have problems.
The diverter valve is a part inside the boiler that switches between hot water for your taps and the central heating. Valves can jam or become ‘sticky’, preventing them from working properly. If a diverter valve sticks, you may find that you only have heating or only have hot water.
230VAC On Off Diverter Valve for Combi Boilers - Johnson Electric
The 230VAC On/Off diverter valve provides low noise and maintenance free boiler operation and faster hot water supply to end-users. Combi boiler manufacturers benefit from simplified valve control with 230VAC direct on/off actuation and fast change-over time.
Baxi Combi Instant 105 HE Diverter Valve leaking - HELP
Feb 14, 2009 · Hi Folks I'm new to this forum but hoping you can help me. My Baxi Combi Instant 105 HE boiler is leaking central heating water from under the Operating Head of the Diverter Valve assembly.
There are many different models of Combi boiler meaning that there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ diverter valve so you’ll need the right size for the Combi boiler installed in your home. You’ll come across various models, many of which will provide either heating or hot water, however, a mid-position diverter valve allows you to have heating, hot water and both.
Grant Oil Boiler Diverter Valve - Direct Heating Spares
The diverter valve is a device that only appears in combi boilers. It allows the hot water to be sent to the central heating system (radiators, etc.) or to the domestic hot water system (taps, etc.). This feature is what makes a combi boiler so popular due to the diverter valve allowing use of hot water and heating without the need for a cylinder
Nov 09, 2014 · The combi diverter valve ensures that the hottest inlet temperature the boiler will see is 27C, so this can be a way to make solar preheated water work with any combi boiler, so long as you can check that this temperature is OK for the model in question.
Gas combi boilers: servicing checks and common problems - Which?
Faulty diverter valve When you switch on your central heating, the boiler lets the water go round the heating system. When you turn the hot water on, it diverts it. If the motor inside the diverter valve fails, instead of diverting the water, the valve can just slide back and forwards in place, or it will stop working because of resistance.

Heating But No Hot Water? A 24|7 Home Rescue Guide
My central heating works but I have no hot water. A relatively common fault with boilers sees the central heating work with no hot water. In some cases – such as with broken diverter valves – the hot water will only work when the central heating is fired up, whereas in other cases, the hot water will not work at all.

The diverter valve is directional water mechanism that only appears in combi boilers. It allows the hot water to be redirected to the central heating (radiators, etc.) or to the hot water system (taps, etc.).
Feb 17, 2009 · It sounds like the diverter valve inside the boiler has stuck. Most boilers have a motorised valve with three positions, heating only, hot water only, and both (mid position). You don't say if its a combination boiler (no hot water cylinder) or how old it is.
Baxi Diverter Valves also sometimes called 3 way valves or motorised valves are a device commonly fitted internally to Baxi Combi type boilers and allows water to be diverted between the central heating or hot water, these diverter valves are not always motorized and can use various methods for operating such as a wax capsule or hydraulic diaphragm.
Jan 11, 2016 · I have a 9-10 year old Baxi combi boiler. Every time I used the hot water tap the radiators heated up. I rang a heating engineer and he said it was the diverter valve. He came out, looked at it and confirmed this, he quoted £340 to do the job. I agreed. He did also point out that it was an old boiler and I might think about replacing it instead.
Just had a new combi boiler fitted because the diverter valve kept sticking on the old one. Had new boiler two weeks and the same problem has occurred ie. central heating won't turn off. Does anybody know why these valves jam - the system has had a power flush - anybody got any ideas why I have the same problem on two different boilers?
Ultimate Guide to Diagnosing a faulty Boiler Diverter Valve
Nov 10, 2014 · Your combi boiler diverter valve is a valve that opens and closes to provide heat to the radiators or to heat your water. The diverter valve will always give priority to your hot water, so if you turn your heating on, and then a hot tap, it will heat the water to the tap first.
The diverter valve on Vaillant combi boilers is a bit of a weak point. The design of the diverter on the current ecoTEC models is essentially the same one they started out with on the TURBOmax and ecoMAX models. This design is based on a pin which moves in and out moving a small piston via a little motor.
The diverter valve is a part that only appears in combi boilers. It allows the hot water to be sent to the central heating (radiators, etc.) or to the hot water system (taps, etc.). This feature is what seperates a normal boiler from a combi boiler due to the diverter valve allowing use of hot water and heating without the need for a cylinder

Diagnosing a Faulty Diverter Valve on a Boiler [And What It
The diverter valve on a combi boiler works much like a lock on a canal would. It opens and closes to allow heat up both hot water and the water in the heating system which provides heat to radiators and towel rails. In theory, the valve should always prioritise your hot water (water from taps and showers) over your heating system.
Jan 15, 2018 · If a hot outlet is opened while the central heating is already activated, a combi boiler will always give priority to the hot outlet. A diverter valve controls whether water heated by the primary heat exchanger should flow through the radiators or through the secondary heat exchanger.
